Gynecology
Advocare Premier OB/GYN in South Jersey provides compassionate, comprehensive gynecological care while fostering long-term relationships with patients. Our annual gynecology visits are thorough and tailored, including pelvic and breast exams, PAP smears for cervical cancer screening, STD testing, contraception counseling for your lifestyle, and family planning support for those preparing for the next life phase. When additional care is needed, we coordinate referrals for essential screenings such as mammography to detect breast cancer early and bone density testing to monitor bone health. Our goal is to ensure every patient feels supported, informed, and cared for throughout all life stages.
Oral Contraceptives
Our gynecologists can discuss
oral contraceptives, or birth control pills, which are a common method of preventing pregnancy. These medications typically contain estrogens and progestins, which prevent ovulation by halting egg development and release. Without an egg, fertilization cannot occur. Oral contraceptives also thicken cervical mucus, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus, and change the uterine lining to reduce the likelihood of implantation. In addition to preventing pregnancy, they can regulate menstrual cycles, alleviate cramps, and manage conditions like PCOS and endometriosis, making them valuable for many women.
Endometriosis
Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows on pelvic organs like the ovaries or fallopian tubes and thickens and bleeds outside the uterus during the menstrual cycle, causing significant pain and discomfort. The experienced gynecologist at our office may recommend ORILISSA, the only FDA-approved pill specifically designed for relieving moderate to severe endometriosis pain. ORILISSA effectively reduces painful periods (dysmenorrhea), pelvic pain between periods (non-menstrual pelvic pain), and debilitating pain during sex (dyspareunia). It is available in two convenient doses: 150 mg once daily and 200 mg twice daily, with the higher dose proven effective for significantly reducing pain during sex.

Our practice, led by board-certified gynecologist Dr. Eric B. Grossman, MD, FACOG, has proudly served South Jersey since 2002, focusing on strong doctor-patient relationships and compassionate care. Founded in 2008, the practice expanded in 2022 with the addition of Dr. Leah Goldberg, a Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School graduate who completed her OB/GYN residency at RWJ, and Dr. Marigloria Maldonado-Puebla, who trained at Temple University Hospital. Our team also includes certified nurse midwife Agne Letushko, CNM, and advanced nurse practitioners Lisa Stubbs, WHNP, and Caty Milano, WHNP, all dedicated to providing exceptional women's health services.
